Description
It's glazed on the interior to make it water tight
who I found a few days ago in New Hampshire
and I believe was designed by a JP Johansson
The lid is well attached but not super tight on the nail
The name of the species--in this case it looks to be "Russ dagueletti" is incised on the bottom of the piece
19th Century Single Pink Rose Watercolor crayon and pencil It's glazed on the interiorI just can't resist these old floral watercolors, and perhaps roses most of all just such tenderly done things. I'd like to think this single rose was given to the object of it's maker Lizzie's affection, and that perhaps the five old horizontal fold lines meant she had to fold it up small and slip it inside a book, say, to deliver in secret! 5" x 7". Staining along the bottom edge and scattered, and some wear along the fold lines, but great color
