punchy and velvety medium full-bodied flavors display only a moderate amount of '95 style tannins on the otherwise delicious

earth and anise plus a waft of cedar chest

Camille Giroud, Volnay Lurets Vintage:2013 This is potentially a monumentThis is aromatically similar to the straight Volnay though while I like the slightly better complexity the nose isnt quite as fresh. There is better vibrancy on the palate of the succulent and round flavors that also exude a subtle minerality on the slightly warm and raspy finish. This is certainly good but its not quite as well balanced.
