Painterly Relief Carved Folk Art Sailboat in Excellent Palette buoy and I'm listing these twoI love an old painted folk art relief carving, and really love the color palette here, with those creamy white sails against blue green sky and blue purple sea feeling very Arts and Crafts era to me. I also really like the looseness to this unfussy, not hugely attentive to following the lines of the carving, and dripping along the bottom edge all of which had the effect, to my eye, of making it feel fresh, and full of life, and just as a portrayal of
