I purchased this painting by Lois Gross Smiley (1925-2018) out of the studio of her estate in Wellesley
1940s Child's Crayon Drawing: Be Kind to Animals! human body and this is a beauty—asThis is one of a handful of drawings I'm listing, all done by a kid with the initials of J. B in the 1940s. I love them all, but the little bluebird in this one, making its way to the orange and blue birdhouse nearby, especially kills me! And a pretty great mantra, too, which is especially satisfying to see written in bold uppercase black crayon drawn letters! 12 1 4" x 9 1 8" and in. Crayon on construction paper, which is a bit brittle. Overall good
