made with real slate that retains a sense of many many years of school lessons performed across its surface--and I believe this is an especially old one (19th c I think)

The result is a very monkey-like monkey with about as empathetic face as I can image

This slip cast stoneware vase is glazed a mottled light brown

but the spoon component is gone

Sweet Old Folk Art Hanging Mailbox with Three Leaf Clover Window phials which I imagine was customI had this one in my hands for a few minutes several years ago before selling it; happily the buyer, who has changed his collecting focus since, offered it back to me and I must say when I unpacked it I fell in love with it again and found it even better than I remembered! Honest construction, clean lines, good age, quite useful, but what really makes it for me is the clover club shaped cutout, backed with glass which makes it feel a bit like a bee
