The painterly white and inky dark blue glazing around the body of the vase has been incised to reveal the black slip underneath

I had never seen one of these planters before

as described in the press release for an exhibition of his original drawings at Vermont’s  Brattleboro Museum & Art Center

as I think having them is pretty nice and makes one feel like a proper cook

I think it would be just the perfect thing to hang in a guest room
